Our Goals And Values Who Are We?

Our goals and values.
The Job Spot was founded by a team of business focussed and experienced individuals, with the aim of bringing a fresh approach to recruitment in N Ireland.

We do not just take candidate details and match them on paper to a job description – we go further. Each of our candidates undergoes a competency-based interview with us before we suggest any role to them. Although time consuming, this exercise is vitally important as we aim to beat the competition on quality and not quantity.

Our own consultants are recruited on the basis of their assessment ability and not sales experience. Their focus is not on attracting new jobs onto our database but making sure we fill those jobs with the right people. We also look for a variety of experience in different industries so that you can be confident we know what we are talking about and can understand your industry, and not just have the narrow experience of the recruitment industry alone.

Because none of our consultants are paid on a commission basis you can be sure you'll get unbiased, objective advice. It may be contrary to industry norms and possibly goes against your perceptions too, but it is, we believe, the way that recruitment should be. We get to know our candidates well, believing that the better the match between a candidate's personality and values with those of the employing company, the more successful the relationship is likely to be. The secret lies in cultural fit.
Hints and Tips
• Preparation.   Do some research into the role you have applied for - even something as simple as visiting the company website can yield lots of useful information for you, and show your prospective employer that you are interested in his/her company.
• Be punctual.   If you can't be on time for an interview, the employer will have concerns about your ability to turn up on time for work, so leave yourself plenty of time to get there.  Even do a "dummy run" if this is feasible.
